Verse Comparsion Chart
Most say they read the
newer translations because they are easier to read. Most believe their new
translation of the Bible is the same as the Authorized Version (KJB) just
without the "thee's and thou's".
As you will see by the following chart more has been left out of them than just
the "thee's and thou's".
For the sake of time and space we will be dealing with the NIV in this chart.
However, what you read here, for the most part, applies to the other
translations. Feel free to print this chart for further reference (to print
this page simply right click on the page and select print). There are literally
hundreds of verses that could have been shown.
This
chart is by no means complete.

"a god" or "the Son of God"?) |

Allow me to take this
opportunity to remind you that God said in Deut. 4:2 "Ye shall not add
unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it,
that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command
you." God again warns us of adding to or diminishing from His Words in
Deut. 12:32, Prov. 30:5-6, and Rev. 22:18-19. With this many warnings we should
all be extremely careful how we use God's Word. As you have seen much more has
been left out (or changed) of the NRSV than "thou, thee, and thine." Now you must decide,
is it better to have a Bible that is so called 'easier to read' or a Bible that
contains all of the Word of God?
